Quick Tip – SCCM 1706 – “Machine does not meet OSD capture requirements. Capture cannot continue.”
Problem
During a Build and Capture Task Sequence I ran into the following error “Machine does not meet OSD capture requirements. Capture cannot continue.”
You can not capture images of machines that are part of a domain!
Solution
To solve the problem check “Apply Network Settings” in you BaC Sequence. The settings should be set to “Join a workgroup” instead of “Join a domain”
In the case that you need a domain connection feel free to join a domain for installation or scripting tasks but don’t forget to leave the domain before “Capture the Reference Machine” starts. To leave a domain you can use the step “Join Domain or Workgroup“.
